Bouquet

This bountiful painting was one of the first that I did with oils. What a pleasure to blend colors in such a relaxed manner! (One can blend in acrylics, but it is a much more frantic process with the paint drying so quickly.) I used 5-6 different photographs of roses for this painting and combined them in one big bouquet. Upon finishing, I thought it was a flop. Eventually, like a dog that keeps looking at you with eyes of love, we stared at each other long enough that it won my heart and became a total favorite. This stunning masterpiece arrives ready to hang in a beautiful gold and wood frame that perfectly offsets the artwork.
