These teddy bear cactus live at the Cholla Cactus Garden in Joshua Tree National Park, where there are hundreds of them in one cuddly little nursery! The cactuses really are cute and bearlike—and also deadly sharp, strange and otherworldly. (Actually, that can be said for the entire park!) We were there in late afternoon, the Mohave sun coming in sideways crowning each teddy bear’s white spines with a halo of light.
Using thick brushwork on linen panel, this petite painting arrives framed and ready to hang. Please contact me for a picture of the frame and exact dimensions (the frames are approximately 3″ additional on all sides).
