Grape vines bursting with spring growth run in parallel lines that trick the eye by appearing to fan out and even reverse direction. The parallax illusion is one of my favorite visual beauties of wine country. This gently rolling vineyard, framed by soft hills and a canopy of oaks, is recreated here using rich colors and exuberant brushstrokes to bring out the lazy liveliness of wine country.
This painting arrives ready to hang on a 1½-inch wrapped canvas with hand-painted edge.
