Mt. Shasta — Hiking the high-elevation trail to South Gate Meadows, one passes through an utterly magical forest. This family of trees are all curved at the base from the heavy snow that slides against them most of the year, giving them an ancient and otherworldly mien right out of Grimm’s Fairy Tales. At every turn, I expected to encounter a crone or a troll, or have a bird deliver a secret message. Using a palette of rich forest colors and sweeping brushstrokes, it is a great honor to share a bit of this forest with you. This painting arrives ready to hang on a 1.5″ wrapped canvas with hand-painted edge.
