The first house in Auburn, California, had a very good environment for orchids and I did several orchid paintings (only two are on the website as the others flew out the door before I could get them scanned). This one, I put on the floor where I could look straight down upon it while painting, thus the perspective of the blue pot. This compelling painting is done on a .75-inch stretched canvas framed in simple lath and arrives ready to hang.
