I love the different moods of the setting sun. In order to practice up for Sunset Wedding, (a large painting for which I had to wait weeks for the smoke to clear in order to begin), we got a rare “moment” of clear air quality, and I ran out and made this petite painting. Quick chunky brushstrokes light up ocean and sky while a quiet sun slips into the water as if saying, “Who me?” Goodnight, little sun, you made my day before the smoke returned and drove me back into the house.
