This painting is adapted from a real place in Joshua Tree National Park. All the Joshua trees here were single trunk, rather than branching. A single trunk means that the plant has never bloomed, and many never do. I used emotive brushwork and glowing pastels to bring you this private hermitage, complete with bent ancient monks taking in the glory of the sunset.
Painted on a 1.5″ gallery wrap canvas with hand-painted edge. Arrives ready to hang.
