Pinnacles National Park — This young dead pine tree, standing tall with branches outstretched over the canyon, a blanket of shooting stars at its feet, captured my heart completely. It was Eastertide and I couldn’t help but see the Santo Cristo in this little tree. For this petite painting, I used soft, yet emotive brushstrokes to sing the song of this sweet redeemer.
