Another painting of apricot mallow. This time looking straight down. This wildflower, supported by fibrous stalks, blooms 14-16 inches above the desert floor. Hence the background as the floor vanishes into darkness beneath the profuse blooms. I’m legitimately obsessed with this wildflower and wrote a blog post about it, Apricot Mallow desert flower of tender mercies. The tender mercies being its many spiritual and medicinal properties. I hope you enjoy this light-giving flower as much as I do.
This painting is done on linen panel and arrives ready to hang in a black and gold wood frame (frame dimensions 16.5 x 14.5 in).
