I once planted so many morning glories that my neighbors began plotting revenge. This painting — the only of morning glories that I have done — was painted while I was in love, on the balcony of said beloved. The guy and his balcony didn’t work out, but the painting did. I was guided to paint a tomato red background behind the fuchsia-colored morning glories and it turned out to be an extremely healing color combination, one that is still counterintuitive. This emotionally-intense painting is done on a 1.5-inch wrapped canvas and arrives ready to hang.
