Some of my favorite scenes in Napa are seeing rows of green vines through the branches of oak trees that line the roads like ancient royalty. Indeed these oaks predate the vineyards by centuries and those that remain are protected and treasured. The most mature local oaks are 600 years old, whereas the first commercial winery started in 1861. In this painting, the sun slants between oak branches sparkling off the spring green vines before stretching across the valley to the mountains on the other side. The palette is a warm summer day and the brushwork rich and sensual.

This painting arrives ready to hang in a very classy and timeless Luminoso floater frame. The frame has a convex 1/2″ gold face. The sides are 2″ deep and black.
