This painting is another gem from the southern Oregon coast where I was hiking in December. What a pleasure to share the trail with these long lean Sitka spruce rooted in the cliffs overlooking the Pacific, their veridian boughs dancing the chilly wind. These sensual trees are celebrated here using loose expressive brushstrokes and generous paint and color. This landscape in oil is done on a 1.5-inch deep gallery wrapped canvas and arrives ready to hang.
