This thickly-textured mixed-media piece is a dreamscape from my Magical Realism period. The content makes itself, I stay out of the way; and then after the dream is formed, I catch what I can and tell the story back to you. For me, this painting reveals a story of a yogini so deeply connected in prayer it has levitated her from her prayer carpet. This inspiring mystical piece weighs 70-90 pounds and is created on a 3-inch-deep wooden platform.
Due to the weight and 3-D texture of the mixed-media dreamscapes, the originals are one-of-a-kind and have a higher price point than my regular oil and acrylic paintings. That said, for those who would like a reproduction, please know that all the dreamscape pieces (and all artwork created pre-2013) were scanned on an immense “Cruise Scanner” in Los Angeles, literally the biggest and best scanner in the US. The detail and resolution of the prints is beyond imaginable and the texture, vibrancy and dimensionality come through in incredible accuracy.
