Through the Looking Rose

This pair of roses is one of my favorites because I just want to fall into the molten heart of the open rose, like a baptismal in color. Both calming and energizing, this rose painting, like others, was created by blending the colors directly on the canvas to create the seamless curvature, translucency and depth that make beholding the rose a mystical journey.
