Ventura Highway

This is my second canvas painting and like “Another Roadside Attraction”, I was called to paint California wildflowers. I think the abandon of my newfound art talent felt a kinship to these unstoppable wildflowers that burst out of road medians and neglected parking lots every April and May. In this painting, the flowers are laid down in energetic brushstrokes capturing the emotional intensity of springtime.
